An amazing Asian Inspired, circa 40s, heavy weight, hand printed, barkcloth wall art mural by Cohama Fabrics.
This design is truly a work of art.
A pheasant with vividly colored plumage, that any bird would die for, is precipitously perched upon a gnarly old stump, surrounded by beautiful blooms and lush foliage. His little buddy, a smaller bird, can be seen hanging out on his perch among the bamboo leaves and flowers above.
This fabric was originally meant to be a wall hanging, as there is a non printed length at the end of the panel, which would have been fastened to a stretcher, for display.
12 different hand printed colors are included in this mural to make this textile design a spectacular masterpiece.
Fuchsia, eggplant, turquoise, sky blue, white, chartreuse, gray, and black comprise the color palate of the pheasants plumage. Flowers of chartreuse, eggplant, turquoise, and gray, with bamboo leaves in 3 shades of green, and 2 shades of gray, pop on the cream colored ground. Woven into the fabric, is a thread of metallic gold to add just a touch of Hollywood Glam bling.
Not to be forgotten is the little song bird, dressed in vivid turquoise, pickle green, chartreuse, and eggplant, black, white and gray.
An excellent art piece for any design plan that needs a colorful, distinctive addition to the space.
