A heavy weight cotton barkcloth from the Hollywood Regency Era, circa 1930s .
This fabric features a riot of stunning hibiscus blooms in a brilliant red and cranberry, pink and hazelnut, and chartreuse and lime green, climbing the length of the panel on old gnarled wood, with fernery and foliage of pine and Kelly green.
The creamy white ground provides the perfect backdrop to make this floral design pop, while the nubby texture the textile itself adds even more interest.
A great addition to any Hollywood Regency, Shabby Chic, Boho, or 21st Century Design plan.
Very Good Used Vintage Condition.
This fabric started life as a drapery that has been carefully deconstructed, freshly laundered, and pressed.
No Dry Rot or Sun Damage
There is a small repair on the woody stem in the center of the panel, (see last photo), and a faint water spot on one selvage edge, ( see 2nd to last photo).
Pattern Repeat: 22" (56 cm)
Width 44" (112 cm)......selvage to selvage
Length 59" (150 cm)
